Sacramento Group Executive Committee Meetings
Location: Renaissance Building (map) 801 "K" Street, Suite 2700 (Conference Rm) Date: 3rd Tuesday of each month, except December Time: 6:30 p.m. Details: This is the regular meeting of the Sacramento Group's elected representatives to discuss conservation & environmental issues which affect or otherwise might have an impact upon Sacramento County. The meetings are generally open; however, some sessions or portions thereof may be closed. If you have an issue you would like the committee to consider or you simply wish to attend the meeting, please contact Tony Loftin.
CLIMATE CHANGE: CAUSES, SOLUTIONS Will Copenhagen Give Hope?
Location: Sheppard Garden & Art Centerenaissance (map) 3330 McKinley Blvd. (between 33rd & 35th St.) Date: Monday, November 30th Time: Opens at 6:30 p.m., Program at 7:00 p.m. Details: This is a free program being offered by the Sacramento Group (in cooperation with a number of local environmentally-conscious organizations) to inform the public about issues surrounding global warming. The program will consist of a presentation, followed by a discussion and question period. HOLIDAY POTLUCK PARTY Bring your favorite potluck item and join the fun!
Location: Sheppard Garden & Art Centerenaissance (map) 3330 McKinley Blvd. (between 33rd & 35th St.) Date: Saturday, December 19th Time: 6:30 p.m. Cost: A $10.00 donation is requested. Details: This is a fundraiser event for the Sacramento Group. There will be refreshments and live music by the Alternative String Band (an outstanding string quartet of professional classical musicians who play popular music like you have never heard before. |
