FEBRUARY OUTINGS
Each Tuesday and Thursday, February 2 through February 25 (February 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, and 25), the following walk will take place:
Brisk Morning Walk (1A) Davis
Brisk 4-mile loop via Davis greenbelts and bike paths. May include Davis wildlife ponds, UC Davis campus, downtown Davis, Village Homes, or UC Arboretum. Meet 8 a.m. at Peets Coffee in Market Place Shopping Center, corner of Sycamore Lane & West Covell Blvd. (from Hwy.113, exit east on West Covell Blvd.). Not limited to singles. Ski/Snowshoe (3C) Jake’s Peak (Sacramento)

Open Ski/Snowshoe, Telemark Hill (not a Sierra Club event)
Join the El Dorado Nordic Ski Patrol on a tour up to Robb’s Hut and back. This is less than a 1,000 foot gain and 6 miles round trip. This trip is open to the public and is an opportunity to invite family and friends on an EDNSP event. No dogs, Chain controls on Hwy 50 cancels. Bring your sweetheart or your own sweet heart to this Valentine’s Day snowshoe. We will follow a slightly ascending road on the way out, have lunch, and then return downhill. The El Dorado Nordic Ski Patrol is sponsoring two night and one day field avalanche classes. Subjects covered will be Weather, Terrain, Snowpack, Rescue, and the Human Element, and how they all relate to avalanche assessment. Space is limited. Questions, see www.ednsp.org
